Ultra Sonic Cleanings
Reducing the time needed for a cleaning, an ultrasonic cleaning device is used today. Breaking up large pieces of tartar and calculus, the Cavitron® uses ultrasonic—you can’t hear or feel—vibrations with water to blast your teeth clean. This type of cleaning deals with debris both on your teeth and below your gum line—the stuff flossing and your toothbrush cannot reach.

Eliminate Discomfort with Ultra Sonic Cleanings
The traditional method of cleaning teeth dentists perform is infamous for causing anxiety and pain for patients. Nobody appreciates the feeling of metal scaling tools scraping their teeth and below their gum line to remove the plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can’t remove. The Cavitron® ultrasonic cleaning device eliminates the discomfort that everybody has become used to since they were young.
The Cavitron® ultrasonic tooth cleaning device works by emitting high frequency vibrations which disrupts any plaque or tartar buildup on teeth and along the gum line. A stream of water is gently sprayed on the tooth surface as the bacteria is removed to ensure that it doesn’t remain in the cleaned area. The Cavitron® device has also been found to be a great tool to use for treating gum disease because the scaling device requires very little pressure, ultimately removing the bacteria that has caused the gum infection with ease. This means that there may be no need for an anesthetic to be used for deep cleanings below the gum line because there will be virtually no pain.
